On November 22, the 38th China Plant Protection Information Exchange and Pesticide Machinery Trade Fair (referred to as the China Plant Protection "Double Exchange Fair") opened in Hefei, Anhui.

This year's China Plant Protection "Double Exchange Fair" is themed "Empowering Plant Protection with Technology to Support Food Security," aiming to exchange development trends in the plant protection industry, showcase achievements in "Technology + Plant Protection," promote the connection between production and sales, enhance disaster prevention and reduction capabilities in plant protection, and lead high-quality innovative development in the pesticide and machinery industry.

This year's China Plant Protection "Double Exchange Fair" has an exhibition area of 130,000 square meters, the largest in history, with over 1,000 exhibitors from pesticide, agricultural chemicals, plant protection machinery, and packaging machinery companies, attracting more than 160,000 on-site visitors and over 3.3 million online viewers.

As the host of this event, Anhui Province has adhered to a prevention-first and integrated control approach in recent years, vigorously developing public plant protection, green plant protection, and smart plant protection, and has implemented actions to enhance pest monitoring and early warning capabilities and to reduce pesticide use while increasing efficiency, promoting green and high-quality agricultural development.

In 2024, the green prevention and control coverage rate for pests and diseases in Anhui's grain crops is expected to reach 59%, while the coverage rate for economic crops will exceed 75%.
